Compal Broadband Networks (CBN) Announce 10G Downstream DOCSIS 3.1 CPE Solutions
10G Downstream DOCSIS 3.1 CPE Solutions with Broadcom BCM3392
Zhubei City, Taiwan, Jan 1, 2025 – Compal Broadband Networks (TWSE: CBN), a global technology leader of broadband CPE solutions, today announced it is developing 10G downstream DOCSIS 3.1 CPE solutions with Broadcom’s BCM3392 SoC.  Supporting the DOCSIS 3.1 standard, the BCM3392 uses four 192-MHz-wide OFDM (orthogonal frequency division multiplexing) and 32 single-carrier QAM downstream channels to achieve 10G downstream speeds.  This enhanced capability allows service providers the option of providing 10G downstream solutions on their existing DOCSIS 3.1 networks.  CBN will have a full portfolio of data modems and gateways that leverage the BCM3392 capabilities later this year.
